Friday afternoon at a press conference, the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense circulated a “wanted dead or alive” poster for George Zimmerman for shooting to death a Florida teenager four weeks ago.

Zimmerman, a self-proclaimed neighborhood watch captain said he accosted what he alleges was a suspicious looking black male walking through his neighborhood. He further contends the man punched him, and bloodied his nose, so Zimmerman fired a gun shot striking the man in the chest. The “man” was 17 year old Trayvon Martin, who would lie in the county morgue three days before police alerted his parents of their child’s death.

Minister Mikhail Muhummud led the press conference, calling for the firing of Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee, the arrest of George Zimmerman and some involvement from President Obama. Muhummud stated he is the southern regional director for the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense located in Jacksonville, Florida. While Minister Muhummud fired off a list of demands and expressed outrage over the handling of the shooting and subsequent investigation; a member of the group passed flyers to about 100 people who showed up for the press conference. Muhummud told the group he was not concerned with rumors of death threats to George Zimmerman, “He should be afraid for his life…”

Muhummud said “I’m here today to appeal to the country, particularly President Obama to do the right thing while you have the power.” He said that “Trayvon Martin “symbolizes my son.”

9/11 GTMO Prisoners: Food Strike

To of the suspects in the 9/11 terror attacks have been on hunger strikes at the Guantanamo Bay detention camps since January.

The men, among the so-called “high value 14” who were transferred from the CIA secret prisons in 2006 to the Navy base in Cuba, are protesting conditions at Guantanamo’s Camp 7 and a new policy in which communications between detainees and their defense lawyers are reviewed for security purposes.

Americans aren't finding jobs and unemployment statistics aren't telling the full story about the economy. Millions are out of work. Counting only those Americans who are actively looking for work, the jobless rate is 8.3 percent, just like it was in January. But counting those who stopped looking for work within the last year, the rate is 9.8 percent.

Needed: Legislation that would require the Bureau of Labor Statistics to broaden its definition for the unemployment rate. Count those who stopped looking for work as well, which would reflect last month's rate accurately.

There are 13.9 million unemployed people in the U.S. – and that just counts those looking for work. There are

23,730,000 Unemployed and Underemployed Americans.

If all these folks started their own state, they would rank third in the US, just behind California and Texas, yet still in front of 19.5 million New York.

If the Unemployed and Underemployed found an uncharted island to call their own they would rank FIFTY in the world, twice the size of Cuba, Belgium, Greece, Rwanda, Portugal, Haiti, Hungary and Sweden.

Loose Change

There are nearly 100 people in the square of dirt on the edge of the cotton-sellers' district in the Indian capital. All are asleep in handmade wooden cots jammed one against the other. Dozens more people sleep around a battered empty fountain nearby.

In a few hours, workers will haul away the cots and Meena Bazaar Park No. 2 will fill with cars. By 9 a.m. the overnight community will have disappeared. Its residents will carry their meager possessions in plastic shopping bags until nightfall, when the lot once again will turn into a makeshift outdoor motel.

Thousands struggle at the bottom of India's working class. These parking lots are cheap refuges in a city where many can't even afford to rent a  slum shanties. 

And we don't even look for the loose change  that's fallen in the cracks of the couch!

Would you speak with the Chief of Staff, your Chief Economic Adviser, your Senior Adviser, or anyone, with your feet up on the Resolute Desk - a gift from Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880? 

Arrogant, immature, self-centeredness, no sense of honor, or simple decency. 

While this posture is disrespectful in any culture, it is not appropriate in any executive setting. Further, in over half of the cultures of the world, it is recognized not only as disrespectful, but as an extreme insult. 

Thinking of himself as a king, not as a servant of the people, humbly occupying our White House for his term in office. 

Electing him was an enormous mistake and will cost us in many ways, for generations.

Washington Thunked

Israeli officials say they won't warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities.
Israeli officials said that if they eventually decide a strike is necessary, they would keep the Americans in the dark to decrease the likelihood that the U.S. would be held responsible for failing to stop Israel's potential attack.
Washington still thinks the Islamic Republic stopped such secret work nine years ago. Britain, France and Germany disagree.

STOP:  WASHINGTON THINKS??

Has everyone forgotten the November 2011 IAEA report warning that Iran appears to be on a structured path to building a nuclear weapon??????
